Shape of Light
A gender-data nonprofit's public site and research hub, built to stay fast under a heavy media load.

About this build
Shape of Light turns complex data on girls and women into something policymakers can act on. That makes it two sites in one: an image-led advocacy front, and a research hub carrying insights, articles, publications and a report submission path. Performance was the constraint I kept running into. The design wants large photography and the audience arrives on mobile connections, so images ship in modern formats at responsive sizes, anything below the fold loads late, and layout dimensions are reserved up front so nothing shifts while assets land.
What it does
- Data hub spanning insights, articles, publications and documents
- Report submission and collaboration paths
- Donation and partnership routes
- Modern image formats at responsive sizes, deferred below the fold
- Reserved layout dimensions to prevent shift on load

The site for my own web and mobile studio, held to the performance bar it sells.
