BaseTech

A curated tech storefront that previews products in depth, then hands the purchase off to the source.

BaseTech interface

About this build

BaseTech is built for discovery, not checkout. Sixteen products across eight categories, each one previewable in full, with the actual buying handled by the merchant. Dropping payments and fulfilment moved the work into the catalogue: faceted browsing, search across the product set, and wishlist and theme state that survive a reload. Product data is structured, so adding a category is a data change and not a new page. That is what keeps a curated storefront maintainable once it starts growing.

What it does

  • Catalogue across eight categories with faceted browsing
  • Full product preview with outbound purchase handoff
  • Wishlist and search persisted across sessions
  • Light and dark theme with stored preference
  • Structured product data, no per-product pages
